Tour de Cure Peter Mac Ride 2019
The 4th annual Tour de Cure Peter Mac Ride was held in Tasmania last weekend, raising significant funds to continue the support of the brilliant research work being done by the Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation. Our PacLease DAF LF290 FA 4×2 curtainsider was there to help the logistics team manage all the heavy lifting, starting from Devonport and driving the four days through spectacular national parks, along surreal coastline, exploring the Freycinet National Park before finishing in historic Hobart.
Along the way, Tour de Cure visited a number of schools and engaged the kids and their parents in their BE FIT, BE HEALTHY, BE HAPPY cancer awareness message. In addition, Tour de Cure donated $10,000 to support local cancer groups in Launceston, Scamander, Swansea and Hobart.
DAF Trucks Australia and PacLease Australia were very honoured to help assist Tour de Cure, the Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation and all the amazing riders who participated in the 4-day event. To date, $705,086.59 in funds have been raised through the Tour de Cure Peter Mac Ride.
