New Partnership at Twin City Truck Centre

Pic caption L to R: Neville Farrugia, Sales Manager and Chris Dziedzic, Dealer Principal.

The next chapter in the outstanding success story for Kenworth and DAF trucks in the Albury-Wodonga region has begun at the Twin City Truck Centre. After building one of the country’s most successful regional truck dealerships, Colin and Val Ginnivan have handed over to a new partnership headed up by Chris Dziedzic and Neville Farrugia.

The proud heritage of Kenworth and DAF trucks sales and service continues at Twin City with Chris taking over as Dealer Principal, and Neville leading the dealership’s experienced sales team.

Both Chris and Neville have extensive background in medium and heavy truck sales, as well as wide experience in operating a premium brand truck dealership.
“Colin’s leadership has been an inspiration,” Chris said of the hand over. “Both Neville and I welcome the opportunity to further develop the relationship Twin City has built with its Kenworth and DAF customers.”

With over 30 years of outstanding service to the Albury-Wodonga region’s road transport industry, Colin and Val Ginnivan are swapping the excitement and challenge of operating the dealership for a more relaxed pace touring the countryside.

“The Twin City Truck Centre’s contribution to the Albury-Wodonga transport industry has been an important part of the region’s development,” said Andrew Hadjikakou, PACCAR Australia’s Director Sales and Marketing. “PACCAR wishes Colin and Val the best in their retirement, and look forward to Chris and Neville continuing the dealership’s long and positive association with the local community.”

The Twin City Truck Centre was established in 1979 by legendary 70’s racecar driver, Bryan Thomson on Melbourne Road, Wodonga. The dealership was ideally placed to service transport operators in the North Eastern Victorian and Southern Riverina districts, as well as the trucks using the Hume Highway’s Melbourne-Sydney transport corridor.

Colin started at the new dealership as its general manager, taking over as the dealer principal from Bryan in 1984. That same year the dealership offered the region Kenworth sales and service and, four years later, it won the first of many Kenworth Dealer of the Year awards.

The dealership began its successful DAF sales and service operation in 2003, and a year later moved to its current modern sales and service headquarters overlooking the Hume Freeway.

With a new partnership taking over from the Ginnivans, a new era begins for the Twin City Truck Centre.

“To ensure a smooth transition we have been working with Colin and PACCAR on this since 2008,” Chris added. “Importantly, we have retained the staff and, with their enthusiasm, both Neville and myself are looking forward to further growing the business in all areas.

“With Kenworth and DAF trucks, we look forward to continuing the Twin City Truck Centre’s success story.”
